NZKGI | The Great GROWER Debate 2018
November 22, 2018 @ 5:30 pm - 9:00 pm
FreeThe Great Grower Debate returns on 22 November to debate if the kiwifruit industry is a good New Zealand citizen. All stakeholders of the kiwifruit industry are kindly invited to attend.
The debate teams are as follows:
- Negative Team: Mike Chapman (HortNZ), Simon Cook (NZKGI), Braden Hungerford (Eastpack)
- Positive Team: Chrissy Stokes (Zespri), Stacey Mareroa (Tuhono Whenua Hort), TBC
- Moderator: Stuart Weston (Apata), Judge: Tyrone Mapp (Toastmasters)
The classic school-style debate is organised by NZKGI and Mayston Partners and is aimed to foster conversations amongst growers on topics of importance to the kiwifruit industry. It is intended as an entertainment event and is judged by a member of Toastmasters. We expect this year to be even more lively than last as interjections will now be allowed by the teams.
It is important to note that the points awarded relate to the argumentation skills of the respective teams. In no way is the information presented by either side endorsed by NZKGI. Entry is free and drinks & nibbles will be available.
SPACES ARE LIMITED
RSVP by sending an email stating the number of people who will be attending to info@nzkgi.org.nz. Please also include whether you are a grower and what company you come from.
